Passenger seriously injured in weekend crash near Troutville

A passenger was seriously injured in a crash last weekend that also killed the car’s young driver, according to state police. Kiersten Atkinson, 19, has undergone multiple surgeries since being rushed to the hospital and is listed in critical condition, said her mother, Catrina Hill. I can hold her hand and try my best to keep her calm. But I can’t fix it.”

Someone called Domino’s Pizza to report that their pizza never arrived just before midnight Thursday. Jackson Police Sgt. Tony Matthews said that’s because a 19-year-old intercepted the Domino’s delivery driver, took the pizza and ran off with it. Officers found the teen in his car in the Albertsons parking lot. It’s unclear if they found the pizza, but they found marijuana-related products in the car, and the Montana man was arrested for possession of a controlled substance. At 2 a.m. Sunday an officer observe d an Idaho man staggering before falling to the ground. The 39-year-old smelled strongly of alcohol and used a nearby building on West Broadway to steady himself, reports stated. He was arrested for public intoxication after the officer tried to find him a ride or a place to stay.

Saregama India Q4 PAT jumps 151% YoY to Rs 37 cr

Saregama India reported 151% jump in consolidated net profit to Rs 37.2 crore in Q4 FY21 as against Rs 14.8 crore in Q4 FY20. Revenue from operations increased 14% year-on-year (YoY) to Rs 123.5 crore. Among segments, revenue from Music business was Rs 101.3 crore (up 10% YoY), revenue from TV & Films business was Rs 21 crore (up 27% YoY) and revenue from Publication business was Rs 1.2 crore (up 140% YoY) in the fourth quarter. Profit before tax in Q4 FY21 stood at Rs 50.3 crore, up by 126% from Rs 22.3 crore reported in Q4 FY20. The company said that it has consistently increased the monetisation of its IP (music, films, TV serials) over the last 13 quarters. Digitisation and low cost of data in India remain the primary growth drivers of content consumption. This is further fueled by the increase in smartphones, the rising popularity of OTT and social media apps.
